brett hawker
Physiotherapist
Brett is a Brisbane local from the Northside who’s grown to love life across the river. With a broad background spanning retail, office and home-based roles, dental laboratories, warehouses, and gyms, he understands how the physical demands of everyday life can influence both body and mind.
His curiosity about how people move, think, and feel led him to complete a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) at QUT, followed by a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at UQ.
Brett takes a holistic, client-centred approach, focusing on both the physical and psychological components of each condition. He believes lasting recovery comes from treating the person, not just the injury.
He works with a wide range of presentations, including sporting injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and general musculoskeletal conditions. To enhance his clinical practice, Brett has completed training in Dry Needling and ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning, and brings over 15 years of experience as a recreational weightlifter and hybrid athlete to help clients reach their strength and movement goals.
Outside of the clinic, Brett enjoys live heavy metal concerts, hiking Brisbane’s local trails (always keeping an eye out for furry friends), picking up heavy things in the gym and relaxing with his cat in front of the TV.
